The Texas Rangers made a pair of pitching roster moves Wednesday, placing left-hander MacKenzie Gore on the paternity leave list while activating Cody Bradford from the 60-day injured list.
The club announced the transactions before Wednesday's game against the San Francisco Giants. Gore can remain on the paternity list for one to three days, while Bradford returns to the active roster after completing his recovery from an elbow injury.
The Rangers entered Wednesday at 56-58, sitting second in the American League West, 2.5 games behind the Houston Astros as they continue their push in the division race.

-LHP Cody Bradford activated from 60-day IL
-LHP MacKenzie Gore placed on MLB Paternity Leave List
With today's transactions, TEX is at the 40-man limit on the club's Major League roster
Gore's move is unrelated to injury and comes one day after he delivered one of his best outings of the season. The left-hander threw 6.0 scoreless innings with four strikeouts in Tuesday's 5-4 victory over the Giants.
The 27-year-old has gone 6-9 with a 4.55 ERA across 24 starts this season, striking out 140 batters over 128.2 innings while posting a 1.24 WHIP. His temporary absence opens a roster spot without disrupting his regular turn in the rotation.
Bradford returns after spending several months on the injured list recovering from a right elbow strain. The left-hander completed his rehabilitation assignment and is scheduled to start Wednesday against San Francisco, giving Texas another healthy rotation option.
The one-for-one swap allows the Rangers to maintain a full pitching staff while Gore attends to his family. Once his paternity leave concludes, Texas is expected to welcome him back to the rotation as it continues chasing Houston in the AL West.
