The injury woes for the Tampa Bay Rays continued on Tuesday.
The Rays have placed CF Kevin Kiermaier (left hip inflammation) and OF Manuel Margot (right knee sprain, MRI pending) on the 10-day IL, and recalled INF Jonathan Aranda (#62) and OF Luke Raley (#55) from Triple-A Durham.

Kiermaier's and Margot's injuries come after catcher Mike Zunino was placed on the injured list two weeks ago with a shoulder ailment and closer Andrew Kittredge was put on the IL with an elbow issue. Kittredge in particular is facing a lengthy recovery process, as he has since undergone Tommy John surgery and will be sidelined for at least the rest of 2022.
A three-time Gold Glove Award winner, Kiermaier exited the Rays' loss to the New York Yankees on Monday with his injury. Through 56 games and 159 at-bats this year, he is tied for the team lead in home runs with seven.
While Kiermaier's injury reportedly isn't considered serious, Margot is expected to miss "significant time" with his knee sprain, according to manager Kevin Cash. He suffered the injury when he collided with the right-field wall during Monday's game. The 27-year-old is having arguably his best season thus far, as he has slashed .302/.365/.423 through 182 at-bats covering 51 games.
Margot leads Tampa Bay in batting average and is second in slugging percentage, OPS (.788), hits (55) and total bases (77).
