With lefthanded starting pitcher Chris Sale on the mend , the Boston Red Sox are hoping to have their pair of co-aces in Sale and Nathan Eovaldi back atop their rotation together soon. "Nasty Nate" is battling his own injury concerns too though and Red Sox Nation got some potentially concerning news on Saturday.
Nathan Eovaldi (hip tightness) will not pitch Tuesday as scheduled. He'll be pushed back. As of now, Red Sox don't think he'll go on the IL.

The Eovaldi news comes in the wake of Boston putting fellow starter Garrett Whitlock on the injured list on Friday.
A 2021 All-Star, Eovaldi reportedly experienced hip tightness during his Wednesday start against the Los Angeles Angels. The team has said that they don't expect him to need an IL stint.
Through 12 starts this year, Eovaldi is 4-2 with a 3.16 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 72 strikeouts in 68 1/3 innings. Last season, the 32-year-old finished fourth in the AL CY Young voting after going 11-9 with a career-best 3.75 ERA and 1.19 WHIP with a career-high 195 strikeouts in 182 1/3 innings pitched.
