Cincinnati Reds prospect Hector Rodriguez was named Southern League Player of the Week.
The outfielder hit .567 to go along with three home runs and seven extra-base hits last week.
On the season, he is slashing .316/.378/.514 with 26 extra-base hits. Rodriguez is the Reds' 11th-ranked prospect, according to MLB Pipeline.
"Rodriguez has always been hitterish from the left side of the plate," MLB Pipeline wrote. "He’s at his best when he’s more gap-to-gap and sending line drives to all fields. He has started to tap into more power and it’s shown up more to his pull side."
The Reds acquired him and Jose Acuna for Tyler Naquin from the Mets in 2022.
It wouldn't be surprising to see Rodriguez get promoted to Triple-A Louisville soon.
