Detroit is continuing to put on a show to begin the 2025 MLB season. The Tigers have officially hit 10 wins and are looking like the early favorites to take the AL Central this season.

Defending Cy Young winner Tarik Skubal put on a masterclass against the Milwaukee Brewers on Monday. The sixth-year veteran has picked up from where he left off in 2024.

Before his last two starts, Skubal's beginning of 2025 was a bit rocky. In his first two starts this season, he gave up four earned runs and six hits against the Los Angeles Dodgers and then three earned runs and six hits against the Seattle Mariners.

After his first two starts, Skubal kicked it in high gear and pitched six scoreless innings, giving up just four hits on only 87 pitches in a win against the New York Yankees.

On Monday, Skubal had an even more impressive stat line – pitching seven scoreless innings, only allowing four hits and striking out nine. He leveled up from his game against New York and pitched one more inning in just four more pitches on Monday.

The bats were alive and well too, as five different players were able to bring in a run for the Tigers. Resulting in a 9-1 victory.

Detroit will look to continue their hot streak in pursuit to a series win against the Brewers on Tuesday. Right-handed pitcher Jack Flaherty will get the green light for the Tigers as he takes on right-hander Quinn Priester.
