Houston Astros outfielder/DH Yordan Alvarez was previously ruled out for the 2020 campaign, and he finally underwent surgery to fix his injuries.
The Astros announced Friday that Alvarez had arthroscopic surgery on both of his knees earlier this week.

Doctors repaired a slight tear in the patellar tendon in his right knee and performed a "routine cleanup" in his left knee.
Alvarez played just two games this season before being ruled out. The reigning AL Rookie of the Year hit .313 last season with 27 home runs, 78 RBI and a 1.067 OPS.
Kyle Tucker and Garrett Stubbs have taken over duties in left field in Alvarez's absence.
