Former Minnesota Twins infielder Kyle Farmer has reportedly agreed to a one-year deal with the Colorado Rockies, according to MLB Network's Jon Heyman.

Farmer was acquired before the 2023 season and spent two years with the Twins, spending time at second base, third base and shortstop.

But while he posted a respectable .256/.317/.408 line with 11 homers and 46 RBI (including X against left-handers), he hit just .214/.293/.353 with five homers and 25 RBI (X against southpaws) in 2024.

After his worst offensive season since 2018, the Twins opted not to exercise a $6.25 million option to keep Farmer in 2025.

Minnesota still has utilityman Willi Castro as well as a plethora of young infielders on the roster including Jose Miranda, Edouard Julien and Brooks Lee, but trade discussions could make infield depth behind third baseman Royce Lewis and shortstop Carlos Correa a fluid situation.

The Rockies will be the 34-year-old's fourth MLB team in eight seasons, as he's also played for the Cincinnati Reds and Los Angeles Dodgers.
