Baseball fans longing to circle dates on calendars will have to wait until after the July 4 holiday.

As noted Wednesday when reports emerged that the St. Louis Cardinals are replacing the New York Yankees for the Aug. 13 Field of Dreams game versus the Chicago White Sox, it's believed teams will only play opponents from similar regional divisions across both leagues.
Heyman added that MLB intends to announce on Friday how many individuals tested positive for the coronavirus upon returning to their clubs for spring training 2.0 sessions.
MLB is expected to announce the number of Covid tests taken and number of positives tomorrow. It’s believe 2,000-plus tests were taken. Players have the option of announcing individual positives, though it may become apparent if they go on the IL with no other injury listed.
