India was selected by the Reds as the fifth-overall pick in the 2018 MLB June Amateur Draft and not only made the team's Opening Day roster last season, but was in the starting lineup in the season opener.
The former Florida Gator finished the 2021 campaign with 21 home runs, 69 RBIs, 98 runs scored, 34 doubles and 12 steals and finished with 71 walks against 141 strikeouts. India posted a .269/.376/.459 slash line over 631 plate appearances in 150 games and led the National League by being hit by a pitch 23 times.
His on-base percentage (sixth), as well as runs scored (eighth), doubles (eighth) and walks (ninth) totals all ranked inside the top-10 in the National League.
