Report: Phillies visiting clubhouse worker tests positive for COVID-19

The Miami Marlins coronavirus outbreak is only getting worse.

A member of the Philadelphia Phillies visiting clubhouse staff reportedly has tested positive for the coronavirus, a source told The Associated Press.

However, all Phillies players and on-field staff have reportedly tested negative for COVID-19 for the second straight day.

Philadelphia's home-and-home series against the New York Yankees was postponed this week after over a dozen members of the Marlins organization tested positive for the virus. The Phillies hosted the Marlins last weekend, and there's concern Philadelphia could see a similar outbreak.

The Phillies are scheduled to take on the Toronto Blue Jays this weekend, but they reportedly won't play their Friday game as scheduled. Instead, they'll play a doubleheader on Saturday, according to The Associated Press.

All of Miami's games have been postponed through the weekend as Major League Baseball continues to assess the situation.
