Report: Rangers' Lance Lynn 'increasingly likely' to be traded

The Texas Rangers may not necessarily want to trade Lance Lynn, but the potential return for the veteran right-hander could be enough for the club to pull the trigger.

According to MLB Network's Jon Morosi, Lynn is "increasingly likely" to be traded by Monday's deadline:

Many teams reportedly are interested in the 33-year-old including the San Diego Padres, Atlanta Braves, Chicago White Sox and Toronto Blue Jays.

Lynn is 4-1 this season with a 1.93 ERA and 56 strikeouts in 51.1 innings pitched. Lynn's ERA ranks fifth in Major League Baseball. However, he has pitched the most innings out of anyone in the league.

If he's dealt, the Rangers likely will get a nice haul for him. Seeing as how the Rangers have a 12-20 record, they'll be looking for all the help they can get.
