Kansas City Royals No. 1 Prospect Jac Caglianone continues to impress in Double-A. Tuesday afternoon was no exception.
The Northwest Arkansas slugger went 3-for-4 with two home runs and four RBI in a 5-4 win over the Wichita Wind Surge, Minnesota Twins affiliate.

It was the first multi-home run game of Caglianone's professional career, and his third straight game with a home run. The left-handed phenom hit both home runs to the opposite field.
Caglianone, a former two-way standout for the Florida Gators, was the sixth overall pick in last July's MLB Draft. In his last two seasons in Gainesville, he crushed a total of 68 home runs.
Following Tuesday's performance, the 22-year old slugger is slashing .330/.406/.606 with a team-leading eight home runs and 31 RBI in 28 games.
While Caglianone continues to crush home runs in Double-A, the big league club ranks second to last this season with 25 home runs, 11 of which have come in the team's last five games. Despite his success, and Kansas City's power struggles this season, the Royals' brass don't appear to be rushing to promote the young star.
“We’re not in any rush to get him to Triple-A,” Royals general manager J.J. Picollo told reporters Monday.
“Not saying it hasn’t been discussed. It’s just – there’s no timetable on it. We like what he’s doing. We’re happy with what he’s doing. We’re trying to allow him to develop properly as a hitter. When this offense settles in, that might be the proper time for him to come up."
