Savannah Bananas Announce Update Days Before Major Expansion News
Matt Kartozian-USA TODAY Sports

Just hours before the Savannah Bananas' regular season finale in Houston, Texas, this weekend, the team announced an update on what it's calling "the biggest night in Banana Ball history."

Looking to 2026, the Bananas' parent company, Fans First Entertainment, will forge ahead with the inaugural season of the Banana Ball Championship League (BBCL). That will see the addition of two new teams, bringing the league's total to six, including the Bananas, Party Animals, Firefighters and Texas Tailgaters.

Team owner Jesse Cole teased the upcoming announcement during a recent in-game interview, but we now know that the Banana Ball City Selection Show '26 will take place on Thursday, Oct. 9, and where you can watch.

Not only will the Oct. 9 live show unveil the two newest expansion teams, but fans will also find out the 2026 Banana Ball World Tour dates and locations.

In customary fashion, the team also teased "a million surprises" to come during the event.

How to Watch Savannah Bananas 2026 City Selection Show

As is the case with most Banana-related games and events, you can watch the show directly on the Bananas' YouTube channel, which has over 2.3 million followers.

However, given the magnitude of this one, it'll also be nationally televised and streaming on:

  • ESPN2
  • ESPN+
  • Disney+

A start time has not been announced quite yet.

Bananas' Remaining 2025 Schedule & Playoff Format

The Bananas close out their regular season with two games at Daikin Park, home of the Houston Astros, on Friday and Saturday before the Banana Ball World Tour playoffs get underway in October.
