Seattle Mariners' 2023 Regular Season Schedule

The Seattle Mariners are now less than two months away from Opening Day.

The Mariners will open the 2023 season at home, hosting the Cleveland Guardians for a four-game series at T-Mobile Park. Then, the Los Angeles Angels will visit town, before the Mariners hit the road to play the Guardians in Cleveland and the Cubs at Wrigley Field in Chicago.

For the first time ever, the Mariners will play a series against each of the other 29 Major League Baseball teams. All 30 teams will play a series against each other, for the first time in baseball history. The hope is that it will generate more fan interest, as star players from the opposite league will appear at the city's home ballpark every other year. Mariners fans will get a chance to see St. Louis Cardinals stars Paul Goldschmidt and Nolan Arenado play at T-Mobile Park, when the Cardinals come to town in mid-April.

The schedule change will also benefit teams that play in hypercompetitive divisions. The American League West is expected to be relatively competitive in 2023, with the Houston Astros coming off a World Series title, the  Mariners coming off their first playoff trip in 21 years, and the Los Angeles Angels and Texas Rangers each having an active offseason.

The Mariners are coming off a 90-win season and their first postseason series victory since 2001. The Mariners reached the American League Division Series last fall. Despite leading the Astros in Game 1 and Game 2 of the ALDS, the Mariners were swept by their divisional foe. They hope to surpass the Astros in 2023 and claim their first AL West division title in 22 years.
