A lone run was all that it took for the Chicago White Sox to take Game 2 of this three-game set against the Seattle Mariners to even up the series at 1-1.

The lone run came off the bat of Chicago right fielder Joshua Palacios, who drove in it in via a RBI single. This game was also highlighted by the valiant pitching performance of the newly-signed pitcher Adrian Houser.

Houser had himself a great first day at the office for Chicago after inking a one-year $1.35 million contract, tossing six shutout innings, allowing only two hits and striking out a pair.

The right-hander went 2-2 with a 5.03 ERA over nine appearances for the Rangers' Triple-A affiliate Round Rock Express. Houser was released on May 15, but was quickly signed by the White Sox before Tuesday afternoon's contest.

As for the M's, they will look to take the rubber match for an early morning matchup. Seattle's Logan Evans will take the mound and go toe-to-toe with Shane Smith for Chicago. Evans has appeared in four games this year and has posted a 2-1 record with a 2.57 ERA over 21 innings. Smith has pitched in nine games this season and has amassed  1-3 record with a 2.05 ERA over 48 innings.
