Seattle Mariners Starting Pitcher Bryan Woo continued his stellar 2025 season at home against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Independence Day. He tossed six scoreless innings and punched out eight. It was his 17th consecutive start tossing six or more innings and two walks or fewer to start the season. The franchise record sits at 20 consecutive starts.
Woo’s great start to the regular season has him in rarefied air. He joined Detroit Tigers ace Tarik Skubal as the only other pitchers in the league with a sub-3.00 ERA, 100+ strikeouts, and fewer than 20 walks this season. The Seattle ace is 8-4 this season with a 2.77 ERA. He is 10th in the league in wins and eighth in WHIP. Will the star pitcher continue pitching this well?

He is the first starter under 30 years old to ever do that in the modern era.Woo owns a 2.77 ERA on the season. All-Star him. pic.twitter.com/1ts9Vwzqgo

Woo debuted with the Seattle Mariners in 2023. While he had a strong rookie campaign, he came into his own last season. If he had enough starts to qualify, he would have finished fifth in the league in ERA last season. Woo is deserving of an All-Star Game nod when the full rosters are revealed tomorrow night. He should end up making the game as a reserve if not named on the initial roster
Woo’s next scheduled start is on July 10 on the road against the New York Yankees. He faced the Yankees at home earlier this season and pitched masterfully. He tossed 6.1 scoreless innings, but walked away with a no-decision. He will look to keep it going and close out the first half of the regular season on a high note.
