The offense of the Seattle Mariners finished off a three-game series for the ages this weekend against the Chicago Cubs. Over that three-game set at Wrigley Field, Seattle scored 30+ runs, hit 10 runs, and tallied 45 hits. The only other time the franchise accomplished this feat was on April 14-16, 2000 against the Toronto Blue Jays.
Seattle’s offensive performance helped them take two of three against the mighty Cubs. Catcher Cal Raleigh continued his MVP-caliber campaign with a really good series at the plate. He had five home runs during this weekend’s three-game set. Will the Seattle Mariners continue to receive historic performances from their offense?

It has been a mediocre 2025 season for the Mariners. They are in second place in the American League West at 39-37. Seattle’s offense outside of Raleigh has not been a strong unit. They are 15th in batting average, seventh in home runs, and 19th in runs scored. Raleigh is leading the league the league in home runs, second in RBI, second in Slugging Percentage, and second in OPS.
Seattle’s pitching staff has not been as strong as in years past. They are 19th in ERA, 18th in WHIP, and 19th in opposing batting average. Starting Pitcher Bryan Woo is seventh in the league in WHIP. Closer Andres Munoz is third in the league in saves.
The Seattle Mariners return to the diamond tomorrow night on the road against the Minnesota Twins to begin a four-game set. Seattle hopes their offensive performance over the weekend will carry into their games next week.
