Chicago Cubs outfielder Seiya Suzuki had fans on an emotional roller coaster during a Saturday showdown against the Cincinnati Reds at Wrigley Field.
With the bases loaded and two outs Reds catcher Luke Maile popped up to right field for what should have been a routine out.
Suzuki and center fielder Pete Crow-Armstrong both easily got under the ball. Suzuki even had time to wave off his teammate. But the Japanese slugger muffed the catch, allowing three unearned runs to score.

A chance at redemption came quickly for Suzuki. In the bottom of the inning he came to the plate with the bases loaded and two out. Suzuki blasted a 3-2 pitch past the bleachers in left field for a grand slam to tie the game at 4-4.
