September 19th Blue Jays Minor Leagues Recap: Barger goes deep and Lopez triples as Norfolk downs Buffalo.

Buffalo- Norfolk scored off Gabriel Ponce in the 2nd inning. The Herd took the lead in the bottom of the 2nd inning off an Otto Lopez triple with Addison Barger on base. Lopez scored on the play on a throwing error by Connor Norby. Buffalo extended their lead in the 4th inning on Addison Barger’s 9th longball of the season. Yosver Zulueta provided the Herd with 2 scoreless innings in the 3rd and 4th, striking out 4 batters. Adam Cimber pitched a scoreless 5th inning, allowing two base hits. Jimmy Burnette struggled in the 6th, allowing 5 runs off a pair of home runs, including a Connor Norby GRAND SLAM. Paul Fry took over for Burnette, throwing 1.2 scoreless innings with 4Ks. Brandon Eisert finished things off with 1.1 scoreless innings.
