Shohei Ohtani finished the 2025 season with the most popular MLB jersey, marking the third year in a row he’s held that title by way of fan support.

Ohtani was joined on the list by Los Angeles Dodgers teammates Freddie Freeman (No. 3), Mookie Betts (No. 4) and Clayton Kershaw (No. 12).

The quartet also appeared on the list of most popular MLB jerseys that was released in July and based off sales since Opening Day of the 2025 season. Ohtani, Freeman and Betts held the same ranking as the final tally for this year, but Kershaw rose from being 20th.

Kershaw, who announced he will retire after the 2025 season, finished with his jersey inside the top 20 for the 12th time in his career (2013-2022; 2024-2025).

Meanwhile, Ohtani is the fourth player in MLB history to have the most popular jersey three seasons in a row. He joins Derek Jeter (2010-2012), Aaron Judge (2017-2019) and Betts (2020-2022).

The current list of MLB’s most popular jerseys is based on sales of Nike player jerseys from the Fanatics network of sites, including MLBShop.com, throughout 2025.

MLB began tracking the most popular jerseys with the 2010 season.
