Shohei Ohtani might have marked another milestone, but his dog, Decoy is the one who stole the spotlight.

Following the Los Angeles Dodgers' huge success at the 2024 World Series, the 30-year-old star scored another achievement in his baseball career.

Ohtani was named the unanimous MVP of the National League for the 2024 season, his third MVP win of his career.

According to NBC Sports, the Japanese baseball pitcher received all 30 first-place votes from members of the Baseball Writers’ Association of America for 420 points.

Interestingly, the announcement was made by his fellow Dodgers star Clayton Kershaw, who proudly referred to Ohtani as his “teammate.”

Amid his success, however, fans couldn’t help but notice something about this special moment.

Alongside Ohtani’s wife, Mamiko Tanaka, the couple was seated with their dog, Decoy, during the announcement.

However, as Kershaw announced Ohtani's win, their fur baby was spotted leaving its seat right in the middle of the celebration. The incident caused Ohtani to make a funny expression in response to his dog's reaction.

Aside from Ohtani, New York Yankees right fielder Aaron Judge was named the AL MVP, earning the honor for the second time in three years.
