Should the Brewers be concerned about Jacob Misiorowski?

For most pitchers, a night when your top fastball velocity was 100.9 mph would be everything you could want.

For the Milwaukee Brewers and Jacob Misiorowski, though, the constant 102-104 mph fastballs weren't present in his outing on Thursday, something that could potentially need to be monitored over his next couple starts.

Jacob Misiorowski's velocities were all down Thursday

Misiorowski averaged just 98.7 mph on his four-seam fastball Thursday night, down nearly a full 2 mph of his season velocity of 100.6 mph. It wasn't just the fastball that suffered from a velocity dip either.

Misiorowski's cutter and curveball were each down over a full one mph, as they were respectively down 1.6 and 1.1 mph. It was definitely a noticeable dip in velocity and "The Miz," as they call him, wasn't quite as sharp, as he allowed two runs and walked two batters while striking out just six batters. 

It is the third consecutive start that Misiorowski has struck out exactly six batters.
