Son of Andy Pettitte agrees to terms with Derek Jeter's Marlins

Former New York Yankees stars and fan-favorites Andy Pettitte and Derek Jeter are once again linked via an MLB organization.

Per The Associated Press (h/t ESPN), left-handed pitcher Jared Pettitte, Andy's son, has agreed to terms with the Miami Marlins as an undrafted free agent. The previously mentioned Jeter is a part-owner and CEO of the Marlins.

Andy Pettitte, a three-time All-Star, and Jeter played together for the Bronx Bombers for 15 seasons, and those who remember watching Andy take the bump while wearing pinstripes may recognize Jared's pickoff move:

Jared pitched for Dallas Baptist University this past season and, according to the school's website, accumulated a 5.81 ERA across 13 games and 26.1 innings. Per Jim Callis of the MLB website, Jared produced one of the highest average fastball spin rates at last month's draft combine.

Jared recently spoke with Nancy Newman of the Yankees' Yes Network about following in his famous father's footsteps:
