As expected, the Braves activated Spencer Strider from the IL ahead of their upcoming series with the Washington Nationals. He’ll start for the club on Tuesday.
The #Braves today reinstated RHP Spencer Strider from the injured list.

Spencer Strider made his first and only start of the season on April 16th, over a full year after undergoing Internal Brace surgery. The Braves lost that game, but he pitched pretty well given the circumstances, allowing just a couple of runs with five strikeouts over five innings.
Unfortunately, in the following days, Strider would strain his hamstring while playing catch. An almost unbelievable injury, but thankfully, it was just a Grade 1 strain that required nothing more than just a few weeks of rest.
The only question now is whether Strider will be the only familiar face joining the Braves this week. Ronald Acuña Jr. appears on the cusp of making his highly anticipated season debut, and Craig Kimbrel is another name to keep an eye on, as he continues to dominate on the farm for the Gwinnett Stripers.
