The Arizona Diamondbacks are losing a big piece to their 2025 spring training roster. How will the front office react?
These big spring training moves are sporadic, yet the Arizona Diamondbacks seem to be destined on finding the right personnel at the right time. That is above my pay grade, though I am ecstatic that the snakes seem like they are willing to do anything to win at this point. No chance this team settles for nothing less than the best, even when they have the up and coming talent like they do in 2025. Hampson has been batting .240/.301/.362, and with the minor league pact the snakes agreed on, he would have gotten paid $1.5 million if he made the D-Backs roster.
Hampson definitely could have done a lot for this team, but there is too much talent on this roster. Any team that adds him, will have a guy that all true snakes fans will root for in the coming years. Seems like though the Arizona Diamondbacks are still interested in guys like Blaze Alexander, Jordan Lawlar, and Tim Tawa. Snakes fans should definitely know how general manager Mike Hazen operates, he is one of a kind, and gets things done on his own timetable. Affordable, yet effective.
The 2025 Spring Training season is coming to an end, and the hard choices are coming. Although one of the hurdles the Diamondbacks’ were dealing with, this whole Garrett Hampson opt-out deal that he just exercised, seems like that is the least of their worries.
