Tampa Bay Rays Making History During 2025 Season

It has been a historic season for the Tampa Bay Rays. They are one of only three teams since 1901 to have 110+ home runs, 125+ stolen bases, and a winning record through the first 100 games of a season. They joined the 1995 Cincinnati Reds and 2009 Rays on that exclusive list. Will the Tampa Bay Rays continue making history this regular season?

It has been a good season for the Rays. They are in fourth place in the American League East. They are 1.5 games out of the third American League wild card spot. Tampa Bay’s offense has been stellar. They are third in the league in batting average, 14th in home runs, and eighth in runs scored. Third Baseman Junior Caminero is having a breakout campaign. He is in the top 10 in the league in home runs and RBI. First Baseman Jonathan Aranda is fifth in batting average.

Tampa Bay’s pitching staff has also been strong. They are 10th in team ERA, ninth in opposing batting average, and third in WHIP. It has been a committee-like approach for the Rays on the mound this season.

Final Thoughts

The Tampa Bay Rays welcome the Chicago White Sox to town for a three-game series beginning tonight. If the Rays continue playing this well, no team will want to face them this summer.
