The Texas Rangers head into today’s Cactus League game against the Arizona Diamondbacks. They have three wins and five losses early in spring training. Last year was a disappointing season for the Rangers finishing with a 78-84 record. They finished third in the American League West 10.5 games back from the division champion Houston Astros last year. They continue to work things out this spring with hopes of a bounce back in 2025.

Overview:

The Rangers continue to shuffle the roster around to fill out the roster each day. They give guys a break and offer some youngsters an opportunity to see potential time against better competition. For Devin Fitz-Gerald he has the opportunity if he gets into the game to record his first major league action. This occurs before heading back to their designated Minor League spring training camp. All three of these players are just getting started with the Rangers organization. Spring training is a fun time of year for fans to see the stars of the major league team. It’s also a chance to see some younger minor-league players. They get a chance that they might not normally have to see live or on television. Let’s hope the team continues to progress. Hopefully, they can return to their 2023 form.
