Texas Rangers Starting Pitcher Jacob deGrom has continued turning back the clock this season. He had another great start last night at home against the Baltimore Orioles. He surrendered two earned runs over six innings of work while punching out six.
It has been a great season for deGrom. He is third in the league in wins, ERA, and WHIP. The ace has allowed six hits or fewer and two or fewer runs in 14 consecutive starts. That is the longest streak by a traditional starting pitcher in the modern era. Will the ace continue pitching at such a high level this season?

deGrom has been one of the best pitchers in the league since debuting with the New York Mets in 2014. He came out of the gates to win Rookie of the Year. He is also a four-time MLB All-Star and a two-time Cy Young Award winner. The only issue for the star pitcher has been his inability to stay on the field.
He has not pitched a full season(excluding the COVID-19-shortened 2020 season) since 2019. The last half-decade of the ace’s career has been upended by injuries. The 2025 season has reminded the baseball world how dominant deGrom can be when fully healthy.
deGrom’s next scheduled start will be on July 7 on the road against the Los Angeles Angels. If the ace can continue pitching this well, he will have another All-Star Game to his name and a high finish in the AL Cy Young race.
