The '2024 MLB home run leaders' quiz

With just over a month remaining in the Major League Baseball regular season, the Kansas City Royals find themselves 2.5 games out of the final playoff spot in the American League. While K.C. is surging at the right time (riding a five-game win streak), they’re going to need Bobby Witt Jr. to continue being Bobby Witt Jr. to crash the postseason party.

While Witt’s numbers are down compared to last season, he hit his 100th home run of his career to continue his eight-game winning streak, becoming the youngest Royal ever to reach the milestone. He’s also became just the fourth player in MLB history with 100+ home runs and 100+ steals in his first four seasons (Darryl Strawberry, Barry Bonds, Julio Rodriguez).

Which brings us to today’s quiz. Witt finished second in American League MVP voting behind Aaron Judge in 2024, slashing .332/.389/.588 to win the Batting Title while mashing 32 home runs and driving in 109 runs. With that being said, how many of the MLB players with at least 25 home runs in 2024 can you name in five minutes?

Good luck!
