Before the 2025 season, the Chicago Cubs hadn’t had a player hit 30 home runs since 2019. This year they had three, with Pete Crow-Armstrong (31), Seiya Suzuki (32) and Michael Busch (34). Unsurprisingly, the two games they got contributions from their big three, they were able to beat the San Diego Padres and advance to the NLDS.
Seiya Suzuki had the first of back-to-back home runs in the Cubs 3-1 victory in Game 1. In Game 3, Pete Crow-Armstrong had his only three hits of the series, while Busch put an exclamation point on the series with a majestic blast to right field in the seventh inning.
Next up for the Cubs is a clash with National League Central-rival Milwaukee, who finished with the best record in baseball this season.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. 33 players hit at least 30 home runs in the 2025 MLB season. How many of them can you name in five minutes?
Good luck!
