The '2nd-most HRs in one season by team' quiz

The Tampa Bay Rays finished the MLB regular season with the best record in the American League and as the best home team in baseball. 

But after dropping a moved-up Game 3 to Cleveland, they’ll need to win in Game 4 to guarantee the ALCS returns to the friendly confines of Tropicana Field. One player who could inject some life into a lineup that hasn’t scored more than three runs in a game yet is Junior Caminero, who led Tampa Bay with 42 home runs in the regular season but has yet to go deep and has just one RBI in six postseason games. His playoff-struggles came to a head in Game 3 against Cleveland after striking out four times.

“Believe me, I don’t want to strike out four times,” he said after the loss. 

“But I’ll flip the page.”

He’ll need to do so quickly, with Game 4 scheduled for Friday night. 

Which brings us to today’s quiz. Caminero has eclipsed the 40-homer milestone in back-to-back seasons, and his 45 blasts in 2025 are the second-most in a season by a Ray. With that being said, can you name the players with the second-most dingers in one campaign for each MLB franchise?
