The 'Active .300 MLB seasons leaders' quiz

The Tampa Bay Rays formula that they used to beat the New York Yankees in the ALDS seemed off to a great start in Game 1 of the ALCS, holding a 2-1 lead heading into the seventh inning after six strong innings from Drew Rasmussen.

But Patrick Bailey led off the seventh inning with a solo home run to chase the Rays ace and tie the game 2-2. With Rasmussen off the mound, Cleveland’s bats woke up to the tune of two runs in the eighth and another three in the ninth to steal a 7-3 win in Game 1 at Tropicana Field.

Cleveland fans should be excited about the continued production of Jose Ramirez, who has made strides to shake off his postseason ghosts since the Guardians faced elimination against Chicago. J-Ram has eight hits with two home runs and eight RBI since falling into a 2-0 hole in the ALDS, including three hits, two runs and an RBI in Game 1 against the Rays.

“He’s the GOAT. He’s a Hall of Famer,” rookie Chase DeLauter – who hit the first playoff homer of his career in Game 1 – said of his veteran teammate.

The Guardians and Rays go at it again in Game 2 on Tuesday, with Parker Messick facing off against Freddy Peralta.

Which brings us to today’s quiz. In an age where batting for average has been less emphasized in favor of power, Ramirez has managed to hit for both of the course of his career, sitting three home runs short of 300 and above .300 for an entire season twice. With that being said, can you name the active players to hit .300 or better in multiple MLB seasons?

Good luck!
