After an 11-4 shellacking in Game 1 of the World Series at the hands of the Toronto Blue Jays, the Los Angeles Dodgers rebounded by giving Yoshinobu Yamamoto five runs of support in his second-consecutive complete game effort to tie the series at 1-1.
Game 2 was also tied at 1-1 until the seventh inning, before Will Smith and Max Muncy hit solo home runs to give the Dodgers a lead Yamamoto wouldn’t relinquish. The home run was a big moment for Muncy, who was one of the Dodgers best players in their 2020 World Series title but went hitless in 20 plate appearances in the 2024 Fall Classic.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Heading into Game 3, Muncy is just a .210 hitter in his postseason career, but sits tied for 10th-place on MLB’s active playoff-home-run list. With that being said, can you name the active MLB players with the most postseason dingers?
Good luck!
