Happy 45th birthday to one of the most feared hitters of his generation – Nelson “Boomstick,” Cruz!
Cruz played in 19 MLB seasons with eight different teams, spending the longest time of his career with the Texas Rangers. Cruz helped the Rangers get to back-to-back World Series’ in 2010 and 2011 and was named ALCS MVP in 2011. While he never did get a ring, Cruz racked up 464 home runs in his career to go with 1,325 RBIs and led all of MLB with 40 home runs as a Baltimore Oriole in 2014.
