2025 has been quite the memorable summer for baseball legend Ichiro Suzuki. Just a few weeks after the Japanese star was enshrined in the Baseball Hall of Fame, the Seattle Mariners also celebrated the man who had 2,542 hits, 633 RBI and 99 home runs in 14 years in the Pacific Northwest by retiring his number. Ichiro joined rare company with the jersey retirement, with Ken Griffey Jr.’s No. 24, Edgar Martinez’s 11 and Jackie Robinson’s 42 being the only other numbers retired by the Mariners.
