The Braves Have Fans Engaged In Their Title Defense
Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

As the stretch run of the 2022 MLB season intensifies, there’s a certain team out in the National League East that is hungry for more after a special season a year ago.

That team is the Atlanta Braves, who even without Freddie Freeman, have continued their winning ways and now sit just one game behind the New York Mets for first place.

The Braves are a serious threat to repeat, which has clearly engaged their fanbase.

The social media team for Truist Park, the Braves’ home stadium, tweeted some exciting numbers from the team’s recent homestand.

Over the weekend, the Braves swept the Miami Marlins, finished their homestand 5-1, and had three more sellouts, accounting for their 33rd, 34th, and 35th of the year.

Braves Country, Stand Up!

There’s a lot to be excited about in Braves country.

The defending World Series champions are better than they were a season ago.

They could actually win 100 games this time around and make a nice little push for a repeat.

But these numbers from the recent homestand are very encouraging.

Fans clearly are excited about what is to come for the Braves this October.

It’s looking like another year where the Braves are set to make a deep run in the postseason and at the very least, be a strong contender for a potential repeat.

A lot has gone right for Atlanta this season.

From the emergence of Michael Harris II and Spencer Strider to the return of Ronald Acuna Jr. this team is ready to roll in the postseason and provide the city of Atlanta with more excitement and fanfare.

We’ll see what happens going forward, but if you’re a Braves fan, there’s a lot to be excited about right now.
