The 'Division-Era sub-2.00 ERA seasons' quiz

Happy 76th birthday to five-time Gold Glover, four-time MLB All-Star, two-time ERA title-winner, 1978 American League Cy Young winner and two-time World Series champion, Ron “Gator,” Guidry!

Guidry played his entire 14-year career with the New York Yankees, making his Big League debut in 1975 against the Boston Red Sox. He earned himself a regular place in the Yankees starting rotation by 1977 and made his first All-Star team in 1978. That was also his lone Cy Young campaign, throwing 16 complete games (and nine shutouts), finishing with a career-high 248 strikeouts in 273 2/3 innings. That season was Guidry’s best playoff run as well, going 2-0 and allowing just two runs in 17 innings across two games to win a second-consecutive World Series.  

In 1983 he led baseball in complete games with 21 in his 31 starts, posting shutouts in three of those. He spent another five seasons in the Bronx, retiring after the 1988 campaign with 1,778 strikeouts to his name in 368 games. 

Which brings us to today’s quiz. Just 25 pitchers have posted an ERA below 2.00 for an entire season since the Divisional Era began in 1969. How many of those pitchers can you name in five minutes?
