The 'Last 30-HR season by MLB team' quiz

Washington Nationals outfielder James Wood has established himself as one of the best young power-hitters in Major League Baseball.

After hitting 31 home runs in his first full season as a starter in 2025, Wood already has 13 homers this season. But his most recent “dinger,” showed off a different part of his game.

Wood came to the plate in the second inning with Washington trailing the Mets 5-0 with the bases loaded, and he drilled a first-pitch sweeper from Nolan McLean to left-center. The ball bounced off the wall and away from two Mets outfielders, allowing Wood to sprint around the diamond in just 15.15 seconds to leg out an J.

After finishing 66-96 and last place in the National League East last season, the Nationals have been a bit of a pleasant surprise. The win on Tuesday night brought them to 24-25, good enough for third place in the division.

Which brings us to today’s quiz. Wood became the first National to hit 30 home runs in a season since 2019 last year, when Juan Soto and Anthony Rendon hit 34 each. With that being said, can you name the last player to hit 30 homers for each MLB team?

Good luck!
