While the New York Mets desperately try to hang onto the final Wild Card spot in the National League playoff field, at least one veteran is doing his part to get them there.
The Mets got a crucial win 8-5 over the Chicago Cubs on Thursday to take a one game lead over Cincinnati for the final N.L. postseason spot into the last series of the regular season, thanks in part to a home run and stolen base from shortstop Francisco Lindor.
The home run was the 30th of the year for “Mr. Smile,” giving him his second 30-home run, 30-stolen base season of his career. He became just the second shortstop in baseball history (joining Bobby Witt Jr.) to join the “30-30 Club,” twice.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Lindor is the fifth player to reach the 30-30 benchmark in 2025 and the 17th person to do it multiple times in MLB history. With that being said, how many of the players to hit 30 home runs and steal 30 bases in an MLB season can you name in eight minutes?
Good luck!
