Happy 92nd birthday 25-time MLB All-Star, three-time Gold Glover, two-time batting champion, 1957 MVP and World Series champion, Henry “Hank” Aaron!
Aaron is one of the most famous baseball players in MLB history, with his 755-career home run record standing for more than three decades before controversially being passed by Barry Bonds. While he’s second all-time in homers, Aaron is the all-time RBI leader with 2,297 and in total bases with 6,856 in his 23 year career. Despite playing in 23 seasons, he was able to make 25 All-Star appearances because there were actually two All-Star games each season from 1959-62.
Aaron retired after the 1976 season and was inducted into the Pro Baseball Hall of Fame in 1982.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Hammerin’ Hank is one of 28 players in Major League Baseball history to hit at least 500 home runs. How many of those players can you name in five minutes?
Good luck!
