The Los Angeles Dodgers may have lost to the St. Louis Cardinals Wednesday, but Shohei Ohtani continued to do Shohei Ohtani things. He made his eighth start of the season on the mound, striking out eight Cardinals in four innings while allowing two hits and one run in four innings. At the plate, he (temporarily) gave himself the lead with a two-run home run in the third inning, which was also his 1,000th-career major league hit.
Ohtani is once again having an MVP-caliber season, sitting on 39 home runs, 75 RBI and 16 steals to go with his 2.37 ERA in 19 innings pitched so far in 2025.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Not only is Shohei the newest member of the 1,000-hit club, he’s the seventh player to reach the milestone while also striking out 500 batters. With that being said, can you name every active MLB player with 1,000 hits in their career?
Good luck!
