The 'MLB perfect games' quiz

Happy 47th birthday to five-time All-Star, four-time Gold Glover and 2005 World Series champion, Mark Buehrle!

Buehrle spent 12 of his 16 Major League seasons with the Chicago White Sox, where he led the American League in innings pitched twice (2004 and 2005). In their run to the 2005 World Series, Buehrle made three starts, going 2-0 and pitching a complete game in Game 2 of the ALCS against the Angels.

Known for working fast and efficiently, Buehrle never recorded a 200-strikeout season, but did author two of the greatest-pitched games in White Sox history. In 2007, he threw a no-hitter against the Texas Rangers with a walk by 38 year old Sammy Sosa separating him from a perfect game. He got that perfect game in 2009 against the Tampa Bay Rays, thanks in part to an iconic catch by DeWayne Wise in left-center field.

Which brings us to today’s quiz. How many of the pitchers to throw a perfect game in MLB history can you name in five minutes?

Good luck!
