The 'MLB Platinum Glove award winners' quiz

After spending the 2025 MLB season without a team, four-time Gold Glover, three-time All-Star, 2017 Roberto Clemente Award winner and curse-ending World Series champion Anthony Rizzo has announced his retirement. 

Rizzo will retire as Chicago Cub this weekend at Wrigley during their series with the Tampa Bay Rays, returning to the franchise where he etched his name in history to serve as an “ambassador.”

After making his MLB debut with the San Diego Padres in 2011, he was traded to the Chicago Cubs for pitcher Andrew Cashner and a prospect that never saw the big leagues. Rizzo rewarded the Cubs with eight strong seasons and played a pivotal role at first base and in the Chicago’s lineup as they ended the franchises’ infamous 108-year World Series drought. 

Rizzo was traded to the New York Yankees at the 2021 trade deadline, where he got off to a solid start but was derailed by injuries. 

Which brings us to today’s quiz. While Rizzo was a strong hitter in his professional career, he had an even better reputation as a first baseman. With that being said, can you name every player to win the Platinum Glove (recognizing the best defensive player in each league) since it was introduced in 2011?
