The 'MLB shortstops with 30-home run seasons' quiz

Happy 53rd birthday to six-time MLB All-Star, two-time Silver Slugger and 1997 Rookie of the Year Nomar Garciaparra!

Garciaparra was a staple in the Boston Red Sox infield for the majority of seven seasons before he was dealt to the Chicago Cubs in the 2004 season, just missing out on the Red Sox historic comeback from down 3-0 in the ALCS to beat the New York Yankees and eventually win the franchise’s first World Series since 1918. While he had to watch that history being made from afar on another postseason cursed team, he did still have a solid professional career. In nine total seasons with the Red Sox, Nomar hit .323 with 178 home runs while leading the American League with 209 hits as a rookie in 1997.

Which brings us to today’s quiz. Garciaparra retired with 1,747 total hits and 936 RBI in his career to go with two 30-home run seasons. With that being said, can you name every shortstop to hit 30 dingers in a single season?

Good luck!
