The 'MLB steals-leaders since 1990' quiz

The Cincinnati Reds are three-games under .500 and currently occupy last-place in the National League Central. But after taking a series on the road from the New York Yankees and with star Elly de la Cruz activated off of the Injured List, things might be turning around for the Reds.

De la Cruz hasn’t played since May 31, but was having a strong season at the plate before going down with a hamstring strain. He was slashing .280/.346/.509 – all of which would be career-highs’ – with 12 home runs, 37 RBI and 10 stolen bases in 58 games.

Cincy went 7-12 in the absence of their 25 year old two-time All-Star, with the strength of the rest of the division doing them no favors, and they find themselves 10.5-games behind the first-place Brewers after falling to them 2-1 on June 22.

Which brings us to today’s quiz. While his bat has continued to improve, de la Cruz is still best known for his ability to wreak havoc on the base-paths, swiping at least 35 bags in each of his first three seasons and leading all of baseball with 67 in 2024.

Good luck!
