The 'Most 10-K games by MLB franchise' quiz

After missing the entire 2025 season and most of the first two months of 2026, New York Yankees ace Gerrit Cole is officially back. 

He got out of trouble in the first inning of his first start on May 22 against Tampa Bay, throwing six scoreless frames but walking three and striking out just two. But in his second start against Kansas City, he reminded Yankee fans just what exactly they’d been missing. 

He threw another 6 2/3 shutout innings, but his strikeouts jumped up to 10 and his walks dropped to none as he was credited with his first win since the 2024 ALCS against Cleveland. Despite his strong return, Cole isn’t getting ahead of himself. 

“Small sample size,” he said after the game. 

Which brings us to today’s quiz. The performance was Cole’s 28th with at least 10 strikeouts since becoming a Yankee in 2020, the most ever by a pitcher in pinstripes. With that being said, can you name the pitchers with the most 10-strikeout games by MLB franchise?
