The Philadelphia Phillies are trying to catch the Atlanta Braves in the National League East trailing by 4.5-games heading into the final month of the regular season. If they get more performances like they got on Wednesday against the Mariners, the Braves should be a little nervous.
Sluggers Kyle Schwarber and Bryce Harper both went deep in the 6-0 win over the Seattle Mariners, with Schwarber tying a Philadelphia record in the process.
The blast marked Schwarber’s 40th of the season, which isn’t just the highwater mark in baseball so far this season, but also ties him with Ryan Howard with four 40-home run seasons as a Phillie. Since joining the Phillies as a free agent in 2022, Schwarber’s mashed 227 taters, leading the N.L. twice (including in 2025) and hitting 38 homers in the only campaign he didn’t reach 40.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. If/when the Phillies get to the postseason, they’ll have a proven postseason performer in Schwarber, who won a World Series with the Chicago Cubs in 2016 and has 23 postseason home runs to his name. With that being said, can you name the MLB players to hit the most home runs in playoff history?
Good luck!
