The 'No. 1 MLB Draft picks' quiz

When Adley Rutschman made his MLB debut with the Baltimore Orioles, he was expected to be the crown jewel in a youth movement destined to bring the O’s back to relevance.

Instead, he was traded in-division at this season’s MLB deadline to the Boston Red Sox and showed off his familiarity with Camden Yards in his first game back in a different uniform.

With the Red Sox needing to make up 6.5 games on the New York Yankees in the final month of the regular season to host their likely-Wild Card matchup, the three-time All-Star hit two vital homers in Boston’s 6-5 win on Thursday. In the process, he became just the second player since 1900 to hit multiple homers in a game against a team he played for in that same season.

The performance is a good sign for Sox fans, who have seen Rutschman struggle to the tune of a .193 batting average with (now) three home runs and just six RBI in 16 games since his move. With Boston all but guaranteed a Wild Card spot in the postseason, his bat could be a significant factor in the Red Sox making a run in a wide-open American League.

Which brings us to today’s quiz. Before establishing himself as a Big League starting catcher, Rutschman was the first-overall pick of the 2019 MLB Draft out of Oregon State. With that being said, how many of the No. 1 MLB Draft picks can you name in eight minutes?

Good luck!
