Aaron Judge is the greatest home run hitter in American League history. The New York Yankees slugger finally did it.
Judge led off for the Yankees against the Texas Rangers and took just three pitches to rocket himself above Roger Maris in the American League record books with home run No. 62.
It was an 88-mile-per-hour slider that hung over the plate and Judge took advantage of the miscue by sending the ball 391 feet away into the left field bleachers.
It was a huge moment for Judge, the Yankees, MLB, and sports in general, Of course, Twitter responded in kind.
AARON JUDGE HAS DONE IT

As Aaron Judge rounded the bases, a smile spread across his face. He'd worn the pressure of the chase for 62 with grace. The frustration that could've sunk others never fazed him. He was the same guy with the same slow heartbeat.

Can’t even describe bad ass it is that Aaron Judge turned down 230 million before the season and just decided to go out and break the AL HR record and have the greatest offensive season since Barry Bonds

The undisputed greatest contract year in MLB history
We have witnessed Miguel Cabrera reach 3,000 hits, Albert Pujols reach 700 HR, and Aaron Judge set the AL single-season HR record all in the same year.
