For the first time in franchise history, the Milwaukee Brewers are World Series champions.
As they have the entire series, the Brewers killed the Tampa Bay Rays with 1,000 paper cuts, winning without a home run once again in their 4-1 series clinching victory.
Catcher William Contreras delivered their only extra base hit of the game, a double to drive in Christian Yelich before scoring himself on a sacrifice fly from Brice Turang later in the inning.
The seven-year veteran hit .381 with four RBI and two walks while dominating behind the plate, throwing out four potential base-stealers and winning 10-of-13 ABS challenges throughout the series.
The result was Contreras becoming the first catcher named World Series MVP since 2015.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. How many of the players to win World Series MVP honors for each season since it was first awarded in 1955 can you name in eight minutes?
Good luck!
